About the Role
Under general supervision, this role records and maintains control of all inventory items purchased and produced. Responsibilities include compiling records from ordering, shipping, and receiving materials, updating inventory records in the computer system, assessing stock supply, and preparing requisitions for additional stock. The position ensures compliance with internal control procedures and may provide training and work direction to other inventory control clerks.
Responsibilities
- Record and maintain control of all inventory items purchased and produced.
- Compile records from ordering, shipping, and receiving materials.
- Update inventory records in the computer system.
- Assess stock supply and reorder status.
- Prepare and verify requisitions for additional stock items using appropriate forms or systems.
- Ensure compliance with established internal control procedures.
- Provide training and work direction to other inventory control clerks as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least 5 years of related experience.
- Ability to follow procedures and train others.
- Strong record-keeping skills with attention to accuracy and efficiency.
- Knowledge of inventory processes and procedures.
Pay
This is an hourly non-exempt role with a starting pay range of $24.61–$32.30 per hour, depending on geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications. Eligible for overtime pay for hours worked in excess of 40 hours per week (or as required by state law).
