About the role

The Lead Inventory Clerk is responsible for all Warehouse Inventory Control Processes and accuracy of records management per Company Policies. This includes leading and assisting with the Physical Count Process and Inventory Reconciliation, investigating and correcting discrepancies, and ensuring all Quarterly, Monthly, Weekly, and Daily Requirements are achieved. The role involves communicating key inventory trends and conditions to Warehouse Management and Operations, providing team guidance, and assisting in interviewing potential candidates.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, assist, and direct activities with physical counts to ensure accurate inventory levels
  • Assist in researching discovered inventory discrepancies and ensure resolution
  • Ensure all required inventory documentation and processes are completed, reviewed, and filed appropriately
  • Analyze inventory information to determine trends and processes impacting inventory control, and communicate findings to management
  • Train and lead inventory personnel, evaluating processes for continuous improvements
  • Communicate identified process improvements with warehouse management, operations, product supply planners, production facilities, and other departments
  • Perform other duties assigned by Warehouse Management, including pallet building when required
  • Support, lead, and motivate a team to deliver results by communicating company goals, safety practices, and deadlines
  • Engage and develop teammates through effective on-the-job coaching and training
  • Implement continuous improvement methods while maintaining customer focus and embodying company purpose and values
  • Influence and advise management on performance management matters

Requirements

  • Extensive knowledge of all Warehouse Processes and proficiency in Warehouse Systems (SAP)
  • Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills with a continuous improvement mindset
  • Strong PC skills including Microsoft Office applications and SharePoint
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, multi-task, organize, and delegate tasks to others
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while walking and repetitively lifting 30-75 lbs
  • Ability to collaborate within a team environment
  • Ability to coordinate and organize efficient and dependable warehouse processes
  • Ability to adapt to different work areas throughout the workday and meet minimum expectations
  • Ability to read and interpret instructions from a computer screen
  • Attention to detail and ability to differentiate packages
  • Ability to work in a noisy and non-climate-controlled environment (hot in summer, cold in winter)
  • Intentional self-starter who takes initiative and proactively seeks value-add opportunities
  • Flexibility in scheduling as hours are subject to change with business demands

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience
  • PIT (Powered Industrial Truck) Certification including Pallet Jack and Forklift

Pay

$22 - $23.69 hourly, depending on experience.
