About the role

Join BehaviorCare Therapy as a Paraprofessional (RBT/BT) providing 1-on-1 ABA therapy to a 6-year-old boy with autism in his home. This part-time, flexible role is ideal for supplementing your current job or school schedule while making a meaningful impact. You’ll work directly with children on the autism spectrum, helping them build daily living skills, communication, independence, and confidence through play-based ABA therapy designed by a licensed BCBA.

You’ll consistently work with the same child, supporting their progress in their everyday environment—whether helping them learn to request snacks, stay focused during routines, or achieve other personalized goals. This hands-on role values patience, energy, and creativity, with training and support provided to meet each child’s unique needs.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children in their homes using play-based ABA techniques (training provided for newcomers).
• Follow step-by-step treatment plans created by your supervisor (BCBA).
• Track progress during each session using an easy data system on your phone or tablet (training included).
• Collaborate with your BCBA and fellow team members to ensure consistency and effectiveness.
• Provide feedback to families about session progress and celebrate small wins together.

Requirements

• Experience working with children (e.g., SPED Para, 1:1 Aide, Classroom Aide, after-school programs, caregiving, or autism-specific roles).
• Afternoon/evening availability (Mon–Thu: 4:30–8:30 PM; weekends a plus).
• Reliable transportation.
• Must pass a background check.

$21–$26/hour, based on experience.
