Rapid Response RN

About the role

The Rapid Response Registered Nurse (RN) provides immediate, specialized care to patients in urgent or critical situations. Working under general supervision, this position facilitates prompt and appropriate interventions in medical emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Responds to medical emergencies and provides immediate care to patients to ensure timely and appropriate treatment.
• Analyzes patient conditions and provides rapid response interventions tailored to individual needs and medical conditions.
• Prepares and maintains accurate documentation related to patient care.
• Reviews policies and procedures related to patient care and safety to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and organizational standards.
• Seeks guidance from senior management for challenging rapid response situations requiring deeper expertise.
• Coaches and reviews the work of lower-level professionals involved in rapid response to ensure high-quality care.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Associate's Degree in Nursing (required). Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (preferred).
• 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
• 1 year of experience in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state.
• BLS (CPR) certification from the American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider.
• ACLS or NIH certification.
