About the role
The Rapid Response/ACT RN provides hospital-wide critical care support, collaborating with bedside nurses, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams to assess patient deterioration, respond to rapid response and airway events, and facilitate timely interventions. This autonomous role supports inpatient and outpatient areas, performing acute assessments, IV access, blood draws, cardiac rhythm interpretation, and clinical consultation.
Ideal for experienced critical care nurses from Trauma, Neuro, Burn, CVICU, or Medical/Surgical ICU backgrounds who enjoy fast-paced problem-solving and collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Patient evaluation and acute assessments
- Care planning and clinical consultation
- Responding to rapid response and airway events
- Performing IV access and blood draws
- Interpreting cardiac rhythms
- Providing education and ensuring safety and compliance
Requirements
- Valid RN license
- Minimum 5 years of ICU experience
- ACLS certification
Qualifications
Preferred certifications: CCRN or TNCC.
