Railroad Engineer/Attendant

Seasonal position at Six Flags Fiesta Texas in San Antonio, TX.

Pay

$13.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Provide superb guest-centered service in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
• Ensure guest safety by assisting with boarding, riding, and disembarking the locomotive and passenger cars
• Perform all aspects of ride operation in accordance with Six Flags’ procedures
• Drive guest satisfaction through positive, fun, and enthusiastic interactions
• Maintain cleanliness, safety, and smooth operation of the railroad

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age
• Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced, vibrant team environment
• General knowledge or willingness to learn aspects of a diesel hydraulic drive system
• Meet physical demands, including walking long distances, standing for long periods, lifting, and working at heights (with or without reasonable accommodation)
• Sufficient vision and hearing to operate the locomotive in various weather and lighting conditions (with or without reasonable accommodation)
• Friendly, outgoing personality with a desire to interact with guests
• 1+ years of experience in rides, train operation, or theme park industry (preferred but not required)
• Effective written and oral communication skills
• Availability to work most weekends, holidays, and evenings
• Flexibility to adapt to change and assist in other ride operations as needed
• Ability to work in all outdoor conditions, including high temperatures and extended periods in the engine
• Willingness to wear themed railroad costume/attire
