Your Purpose

As a Train Attendant, you will be an integral part of the Onboard Service team, playing a crucial role in ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for our Guests. Pay

Pay Rate: $20.00 an hour, plus tips

Your Role

  • [Essential Functions]:
    • Guest Services: Assist Guests in locating their seats and escort them as appropriate. Provide assistance with Guest baggage where feasible.
    • Food & Beverage Service: Confirm seat assignments, serve food and beverages, prepare and serve hot and cold beverages, adhere to Company standards, and engage in friendly conversation.
    • Communication & Coordination: Deliver public address announcements, communicate with the Onboard team, and coordinate marketing efforts.
    • Safety & Compliance: Ensure safety protocols are followed, report safety concerns, manage emergencies, and inspect service support areas.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED required, some college or vocational training preferred. Minimum of six (6) months’ experience in guest service, sales, or food & beverage service.
  • Physical Demands: Regularly required to use hands, reach, talk, hear, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, lift up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift up to 100 pounds.
  • Knowledge & Skills: Knowledge of safety protocols, ability to report concerns, understanding of foodborne illness prevention, proven ability to interact with Guests, management, and Teammates under pressure, strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, detail-oriented, effective communication skills, professional appearance, good physical condition, and ability to work various shifts and holidays.

Training & Reporting

  • Aid in training newly hired Train Attendants on Brightline’s steps of service and safety standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and reset the train, including passenger areas and restrooms, at station turn-arounds and final terminals.
