Rail Terminal Driver

About the role

This position is available immediately at the BNSF St Louis Rail Terminal in a stable industry. It offers on-the-job training and is entry-level.

Responsibilities

• Operate a jockey truck to maneuver 53ft trailers, containers, and chassis around the rail yard.
• Engage in various ground duties such as climbing on and off railcars, securing tracks, and handling inner box connectors (IBC's).
• Aid crane operators/Side Loaders with equipment loading and unloading using hand signals.
• Fulfill other assigned duties in a dynamic and team-oriented work environment.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License.
• Pass a drug test and a physical capabilities test.
• No GED or diploma required.
• Strong communication skills.

Pay and Schedule

• Starting Rate: $20.00/hr (no experience required, higher rates possible with previous experience).
• Shifts: First shift 0600-1800 (12 hours), Second shift 1800-0400 (10 hours).

Requirements

Applicants must currently live within a 45-minute commute of St Louis. Out-of-area candidates and/or those requiring relocation will not be considered. This job is suitable for individuals seeking employment in warehouses, delivery drivers, forklift drivers, outdoor labor, landscaping, and railyards. Employment is direct with Pacific Rail Services, not the railroad.
