Rail Terminal Operator
About the role
Pacific Rail Services is hiring for an entry-level position at the Union Pacific Dupo, IL Terminal. This role offers hands-on training, competitive pay, and long-term benefits.
Responsibilities
- Operate a jockey truck to maneuver 53ft trailers, containers, and chassis within the yard.
- Perform ground duties including climbing railcars, managing track locks, and handling Inner Box Connectors (IBCs).
- Assist in loading/unloading equipment with packer operators using hand signals.
- Participate in stacking/unstacking chassis and managing chassis racks.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.

What You’ll Earn
Starting Pay: $18/hr
Annual Potential: Up to $50,000 with overtime!
Qualifications
- Must be 18+ years old with a valid Driver’s License
- Able to pass a 7-year background check, drug test, and Physical Capabilities Test
- No diploma or GED required

Available Shifts: 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM
1:30 PM – 1:00 AM

You will be employed directly by Pacific Rail Services and will not be considered an employee of the railroad. This role is perfect for anyone with experience in warehousing, delivery driving, landscaping, outdoor work, or railyard operations—or anyone ready to try something new!
