About the role

Rail Terminal Services is hiring an Hostler Driver / Groundperson at their BNSF Spokane, WA Rail Terminal. This entry-level role offers full on-the-job training and combines Hostler Driver and Ground Person duties.

Responsibilities

• Drive a jockey truck, moving 53ft trailers, containers, and chassis around the rail yard
• Get hands-on with ground duties—climbing railcars, securing tracks, and handling connectors
• Team up with crane operators, guiding them with hand signals to load and unload equipment
• Stack and unstack chassis, plus load/unload racks—every day’s a little different!
• Pitch in wherever needed in a fun, team-focused environment

Requirements

• Must be 18+
• Valid driver's license (no CDL needed)
• Pass a 7-year background check
• Ace a drug test and a physical capabilities test
• No GED or diploma required
• Strong communication skills and a can-do attitude

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a warehouse, delivery driver, forklift operator, or outdoor work like landscaping or laboring is a plus

Pay

$18.00/hr with the chance to earn $40,000-$55,000 in your first year (hello, overtime!) and weekly pay.

Schedule

Shifts include nights, weekends, and some holidays—flexibility is key! Expect 8-10 hour days in a fast-paced, outdoor setting.
