About the Role

Provides a variety of quality radiographic imaging, including fluoroscopy on all age groups served by the entity, under the general direction of a physician, ensuring the principles of ALARA are achieved. Participates in the department quality improvement processes to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.

Depending on departmental business needs, this position will support the department’s patient workflow, such as front desk duties, phlebotomy, EKG, vital signs, patient intake, and other duties as assigned and supported by scope of practice.

Responsibilities

  • Perform radiographic imaging and fluoroscopy procedures
  • Adhere to ALARA principles for radiation safety
  • Participate in department quality improvement initiatives
  • Support patient workflow, including front desk duties, phlebotomy, EKG, vital signs, and patient intake as needed
  • Demonstrate change agility and flexibility

Requirements

  • Graduate of an approved AMA Council on Education Program in Radiologic Technology
  • ARRT Radiography certified or eligible
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) certification
  • Six months of experience in an acute care setting preferred
  • Competency in skills such as vital signs, phlebotomy, EKG, and front desk duties may be required depending on departmental needs

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent training/experience
  • ARRT Registered Technologist - Radiography
  • Less than 1 year of minimum required experience
