About the Role
This position involves performing imaging procedures such as CT and X-Rays independently, ensuring accurate results and patient care.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment including X-Ray, CT, CR reader, and PACS.
- Perform imaging exams following established policies, procedures, and regulations, and notify physicians of results.
- Provide technical assistance and supportive patient care to meet patient needs.
- Maintain documentation, logs, and records in both paper and electronic formats.
- Perform basic clinical procedures under physician or nurse supervision.
- Perform routine equipment maintenance, quality control, proficiency testing, and record retention.
- Assist with lab testing and specimen collection per policies and regulations.
- Perform additional duties such as ER technician tasks and travel between facility locations as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Radiology preferred.
- Certification as a radiologic technologist and ARRT registration required; CT registration preferred or required within specified timeframes.
- Current BLS certification required.
- 2+ years radiologic/imaging experience preferred, including CT and ER experience.
- Proficiency with imaging equipment, hardware/software, and PACS.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
