About the role
This position involves performing a variety of imaging procedures, including CT and X-Rays, with minimal supervision. The role includes providing technical assistance and patient care, operating and maintaining imaging equipment, and ensuring compliance with policies, regulations, and laws.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment such as X-Ray, CT, CR reader, and PACS.
- Perform imaging exams, document results, and notify physicians accordingly.
- Assist with clinical procedures under physician or nurse direction.
- Maintain accurate documentation, logs, and records in both paper and electronic formats.
- Collect laboratory samples, perform tests, and ensure quality control and proficiency testing.
- Perform routine maintenance and equipment checks, and retain analytic records for at least two years.
- Support ER functions as needed, travel between facility locations, and participate in staff meetings.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED; graduation from an AMA-approved Radiology Technology program.
- Certified radiologic technologist and registered with ARRT in radiography; CT registration preferred.
- Current BLS certification.
- 2+ years radiologic/imaging experience preferred, including ER and CT experience.
- Proficiency with imaging hardware/software and PACS, with excellent communication skills in English.
