About the role
This role involves performing a variety of imaging procedures, including CT and X-Rays, with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical assistance and supportive patient care to meet patient needs
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment such as X-Ray, CT, CR reader, and PACS
- Conduct imaging exams per policies, procedures, and regulations, and notify physicians of results
- Perform basic clinical procedures under physician/nurse direction
- Maintain documentation, logs, and records in both paper and electronic formats
- Collect laboratory samples and perform lab testing adhering to COLA and CLIA standards
- Ensure sufficient supplies of reagents and consumables
- Perform routine maintenance and quality control checks on imaging equipment
- Participate in proficiency testing, split sample analysis, and quality assessment activities
- Retain analytic records for at least two years
- Perform as an ER Technician when needed and travel between facility locations
- Attend meetings and perform additional assigned duties
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
- AMA-approved Radiology Technology education
- Registered as a radiologic technologist (ARRT) in radiography; CT registration preferred
- Current BLS certification
- 2+ years radiologic/imaging experience; 1+ years CT and ER experience preferred
- Proficiency with imaging hardware, software, and PACS
- Fluency in English
