Job Details
Under the immediate supervision of the Medical Imaging Supervisor, the Radiology Technologist is responsible for conducting routine X-Ray/CT procedures and ensuring all physician and customer needs are met through clinical and administrative tasks.
Work Schedule
- Thursday & Friday: 11PM-7AM
- Saturday & Sunday: 7PM-7AM
Responsibilities
- Operates all fixed and portable radiographic equipment
- Able to assess plan and provide individualized care for patients taking into account the mental status, development, and physical needs of each patient based on age
- Performs all fluoroscopy procedures
- Performs all OR procedures
- Performs CT scan procedures per CT Procedure Manual
- Recognizes emergency situations, initiates code procedures, and administers first aid/CPR
- Absorbs and prepares patients for imaging
- Starts intravenous lines and administers IV contrast media
- Assists the radiologist in biopsies, abscess drainages, and other procedures
- Pacifies and documents daily safety warmups and quality control checks on CT equipment
- Ensures all computed and digital images are properly archived on Synapse Scan
- Documents exams in a timely manner
- Troubleshoots as needed
- Pushes images to other hospitals
- Burns CDs and enters tech notes into each exam completed
- Ensures timely reporting of exams
- Charges exams correctly
- Prints schedules and checks patient orders
- Confirms patient identity with two identifiers

- Completes all required annual education on or before the due date
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Minimal physical effort required with occasional light lifting to a maximum of 25 pounds; stooping; and pick, pinch, type, or otherwise work primarily with fingers
- Ability to effectively manage considerable mental stress
- Ability to express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word
- Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication
- Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and convey information in a clear, concise, and accurate manner
- Familiarity with computer and other business machines
Qualifications
- Graduate from an A.M.A approved school of Radiologic Technology
- One year of X-Ray experience required
- Clinical rotations will be considered
- Must be Registered with the ARRT. RT required
- CT required after 18 months of employment
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- Must be registered with the New Hampshire Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy
