About the Role
This position involves performing a variety of imaging procedures, including CT and X-Rays, independently at a technical level.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment such as X-Ray, CT, CR readers, and PACS.
- Assist physicians, nurses, and staff with patient care and imaging procedures.
- Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations, notifying physicians of results.
- Collect laboratory samples, perform testing per established protocols, and document activities.
- Perform routine maintenance, quality control, proficiency testing, and record-keeping for imaging and laboratory tasks.
- Perform duties as needed in the ER, travel between facility locations, and attend meetings.
- Perform additional assigned tasks to support departmental operations.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED required; Radiology Technology education from an AMA-approved program.
- Certification as a radiologic technologist and registration with ARRT required; CT certification preferred.
- CT certification must be obtained within 12 months of hire (Pennsylvania market).
- Current BLS certification required.
- 2+ years radiologic/imaging experience and 1+ years CT and ER experience preferred.
- Proficiency with imaging equipment, hardware/software, and PACS; fluent in English.
