About the Role
This role involves performing imaging procedures such as CT scans and X-Rays with minimal supervision, ensuring accurate results and patient care.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment including X-Ray, CT, and PACS systems.
- Assist healthcare staff and provide supportive patient care throughout procedures.
- Perform imaging exams following established policies, notifying physicians of results.
- Maintain documentation, logs, and records in both paper and electronic formats.
- Collect laboratory samples and perform testing per regulations.
- Ensure equipment is well-maintained and conduct quality control and proficiency testing.
- Perform routine maintenance and checks on imaging equipment.
- Contribute to quality assessment activities and retain analytic records.
- Support additional duties such as ER technician tasks and cross-site travel as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required; associate’s in Radiology preferred.
- Certification as a radiologic technologist and ARRT registration in radiography required; CT certification preferred.
- Current BLS certification required.
- 2+ years radiologic/imaging experience preferred; CT and ER experience advantageous.
- Proficiency with imaging hardware/software and PACS systems.
- Fluent in English, with strong communication skills.
