About the Role
Performs imaging procedures in accordance with standards, policies, and organizational values.
Responsibilities
- Reviews patient history and physician orders; educates patients on procedures to ensure cooperation.
- Prepares and administers contrast media or medications within scope; monitors patient condition and responds to changes.
- Prepares equipment, selects imaging parameters, and performs safety and quality control checks; troubleshoots equipment issues.
- Positions patients, conducts imaging procedures, analyzes results, and ensures image quality; may work with students.
- Utilizes critical thinking and decisive judgment to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program.
- Registered as a Radiologic Technologist (ARRT); applicable certifications and state licensure if required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from recognized organizations.
