About the Role
Responsible for operating digital fluoroscopic and portable radiology equipment to produce high-quality images based on physician specifications, while adhering to safety protocols.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine radiographs for patients of all ages, ensuring proper image quality, patient identification, and safety standards.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and well-stocked work environment.
- Communicate effectively with patients, explaining procedures and addressing concerns.
- Conduct quality control activities and report equipment issues promptly.
- Educate and support patients, preparing them for procedures.
- Document activities accurately and distribute images in a timely manner.
- Participate in performance improvement and educational initiatives.
- Uphold professional standards, organizational policies, and safety regulations.
Requirements
- Associate's degree or recognized radiologic technology certificate.
- ARRT registration required upon hire in Maryland; within 90 days in Washington, DC.
- State radiologic technologist license and BLS certification required.
- Effective communication skills and basic computer knowledge preferred.
Schedule
This part-time role involves working every other weekend evening shift.
