About the role

The Office of the Queens County District Attorney is currently seeking Law Student applicants for the Fall Legal Internship, which will run from September through December 2026. This is an unpaid, part-time internship open to current Law Students.

Responsibilities

Depending on the bureau assignment, interns will engage in many aspects of prosecutorial work, such as:
  • researching and writing assignments for pending cases
  • motion and discovery practice
  • assisting with search warrant applications
  • observing civilian and police interviews, and proffers
  • Court appearances pursuant to the student practice order
  • visiting crime scenes
  • participating in community outreach with the Community Partnerships Division (voluntary)

Requirements

- The program begins in September 2026 and ends in December 2026 (flexible with school schedule) - Interns will be assigned to a specific bureau - Interns will work in person for a minimum of 12 - 15 hours a week
