Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership to a multidisciplinary team of engineers and scientists, defining and executing the process integration strategy for IBM's next generations of quantum processors.
- Independently lead cross-functional programs across research, development, and manufacturing organizations, driving technical decision-making and resource allocation to achieve aggressive performance, yield, and scalability targets.
- Identify and implement innovative process solutions that advance qubit performance and manufacturability.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in quantum processor manufacturing, influencing technical direction across the organization and mentoring both engineers and scientists.
- Communicate results through high-impact patents, publications, and executive-level technical reviews, while representing IBM as a recognized leader at industry conferences, professional societies, and external collaborations.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Engineering, or related experience.
- Proven technical leadership with material and process engineering especially as it relates to Qubit Processor manufacturing.
- Experience with leading cross-functional project and/or program management.
- Extensive experience and recognized expertise in advanced semiconductor and quantum processor manufacturing, with a proven track record of developing, integrating, and scaling complex fabrication processes in a production environment.
- Deep understanding of quantum device fabrication, process integration, manufacturing variability, and yield optimization.
