Job Purpose
A key support role within the Quality department, involving tasks such as water testing, raw milk testing, load out testing, and microbiological testing.
Responsibilities
- Operate lab testing instrumentation safely and efficiently.
- Perform daily quality line sampling, evaluations, and testing on the plant floor.
- Generate daily reports, data entry, and collection.
- Assist with project assistance, filing, and special studies.
- Communicate results to the proper individuals in a timely, confidential, and professional manner.
- Notify supervisors of any unusual results or product defects.
- Ensure milk meets quality, food safety, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain confidentiality of results and reports.
- Report immediately to supervisor or manager of any damage, irregular activity, or unsafe conditions.
- Follow safety, work, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and GLP's rules.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills/Qualifications Required
- College degree preferred, but not required.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a laboratory setting.
- College level verbal and written communication skills.
- Computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Proficiency in English: comfortable with both written and verbal communication, including reading and writing.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
- 40-45 hours per week, sitting, standing, walking, lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Must keep work area clean and stocked with supplies.
Food Safety Responsibilities
- Notify supervision of repairs or adjustments affecting product quality or food safety.
- Understand and comply with color-coded container policy.
- Initiate actions to prevent nonconformities related to food safety and product quality.
- Control further processing or delivery of nonconforming product until deficiencies are corrected.

Base Pay Range
$25.50—$25.50 USD
