Quality Engineering Intern
About the role
This position will support the Quality Engineering group, typically working as an assignee on smaller-scale Quality Engineering projects or tasks related to larger-scale Quality Engineering projects. The tasks and projects performed by this individual will typically be monitored or managed by a Quality Engineer.
Responsibilities
Presentation and reporting on specific assigned projects or tasks. Responsibilities will be project-based, and not all of the following may be encompassed over the duration of the term:
- Line layout
- Process Mapping
- Drafting (initial or update) Procedures/Setup Sheets (Work instructions/Workmanship standards)
- Fixture improvement/design
- 5S
- Kaizen events
- Lean Kaizen events
- Performing Validation protocols
Requirements
- Enrolled in a relevant Industrial or Mechanical Engineering or technology program.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2nd or 3rd year/term student
- Six Sigma Training
- Lean Manufacturing Training
- SolidWorks education
Pay
The compensation for this role is competitive and based on experience and qualifications, with an anticipated range of $23.00 to $28.00 per hour.
