Quality Control Technician, Food Manufacturing — CCP/Preventive Controls

About the role

EFCO Products is seeking a Quality Control Technician to join our team at our Poughkeepsie, NY facility. This position plays a critical role in ensuring food safety through adherence to Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) and Preventive Controls (CCPs).

Responsibilities

• Perform routine quality control inspections on raw materials, semi-finished products, and finished goods.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies related to food safety and quality.
• Document findings and take corrective actions as necessary.
• Participate in training programs to maintain knowledge of current industry standards and best practices.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a food processing setting.
• Knowledge of cGMPs and Preventive Controls (CCPs).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures accurately.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as needed.

Skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Basic computer skills including data entry and report generation.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $19 - $23 per hour.

Schedule

Hours are typically Monday through Friday, with occasional evening and weekend shifts as needed.
