Quality Control Technician
Job Summary
The Quality Control Inspector performs quality checks on the production floor.
Job Responsibilities
- Monitor production activities
- Verify that procedures are followed in accordance with all specification requirements by establishing a line of communication with production leads
- Monitor Production daily activities to ensure that proper batching, placement and curing techniques are being performed
- Closely monitor all test data to ensure compliance with all specification requirements
- Notify the Quality Control Manager of any deviation from those requirements
- Control the movement of items from various stages of production
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Other duties as may be assigned by the Quality Control Manager
- Take proactive steps to reduce/eliminate detailing operations
- Document all repairs and identify the cause
- Initiate maintenance requests and corrective actions as necessary
- Report all major defects to the Quality Control Manager as soon as possible
Job Requirements
- At least 5 years experience in QC and/or concrete testing
- ACI Field Tech I Quality control certification a min. PCI level I, II or III a plus
- Knowledge of how to read and interpret shop/engineering drawings
- Must maintain clear and precise record keeping
- Must have familiarity and knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
- Work with the engineering department to ensure drawings and products are consistent
- Good attendance and positive attitude a must
- Must be a team player
- Must possess a desire to learn
- Must be self-motivated
- Must be able to work quickly in a fast-paced environment
- Must be willing to assist in training and perform hands-on activities with other employees for learning and training purposes
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
Compensation
- The hourly pay rate is $20-$27/hr
