About The Position
We are seeking a motivated Quality Lab Tech to join our Beshert branch. The QA Lab Tech will prepare and test specimens for Tensile, Hardness, Charpy Impact and other testing as required. The QA Lab Tech will assist the QA Manager in the maintenance and calibration of test and measuring equipment throughout both testing lab and production facility. This preparation will include milling, cutting, and shaping specimens as per ASTM or other requirements. The QA Lab Tech will be responsible for the accuracy of the test specimens and test results.

- Record Keeping M.T.R. - Mill Test Reports
- Documentation of Test Certificates from producing Steel Mills
- Preparation of Certificates after physical testing
- Delivery of Test Certificates to customers
- Operational quality process
- Defect training
- Continuous Improvement
- A High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2 years previous experience in the steel industry/quality control
- Knowledge/Skills/Competencies
- General Product Knowledge
- Familiarization with inspection tools and procedures
- Knowledge of the types of inspections procedures required
- Strong Excel skills
- Ability to work accurately, concisely, and independently and as part of team in a multi-tasked environment
