Your Role and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with dedicated co-workers and managers in a dynamic team setting
- Champion a safe work environment, strictly following all company, OSHA and MSHA safety policies
- Conduct thorough inspections, sampling, and testing of aggregates, asphalt, and other materials to ensure premium quality
- Test mixtures for compliance with contract specifications and quality control tolerances
- Monitor daily processes and materials to consistently exceed agency and customer requirements
- Record and maintain accurate data in our test results database
- Aid internal and external customers with professionalism and efficiency
- Achieve necessary certifications promptly to stay at the cutting edge
- Support quality control plans and help keep work areas clean and organized
- Perform other duties as needed to support team success
What We’re Looking For
- Successful completion of pre-employment drug screening, background check, and “Fit for Work” physical
- Strong visual acuity (with correction)—close, distance, peripheral, depth, and focus
- Valid driver’s license and compliance with our fleet safety standards
- Professionalism and courteous attitude at all times
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, overtime, and outdoors in various weather conditions
- Strict adherence to safety procedures and PPE requirements
- Willingness to thrive in a collaborative, team-focused workplace
- Minimum age of 18 and ability to provide valid I-9 documentation
Education & Experience
- A high school diploma or GED is required
- Additional college, technical school, or relevant experience is preferred
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
- Frequently required to climb, balance, and perform tasks involving physical agility
- Sit, climb, and use hand signals or equipment; occasionally stand, walk, crawl, kneel, bend, stoop, crouch, or reach above shoulder height
- Lift and move objects weighing up to 25-50 lbs as needed
- Work primarily outdoors, often in extreme weather and environmental conditions
- Comfortable working in all weather conditions; exposed to jobsite hazards such as moving machinery, high places, airborne particles, and loud environments
- Must have specific vision abilities, including close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception, to operate equipment safely
