Description
The Quality Assurance Auditor – Manufacturing position is responsible for assisting the Quality Manager in implementing and assuring compliance within the QA department. Key responsibilities include:
- Inspecting incoming materials to assure conformance with specifications and releasing materials for use in production.
- Collecting, organizing, and preparing Quality Assurance reports as required.
- Issuing Nonconformance Reports (NCRs) and Corrective Action Preventative Action Requests (CAPAs) as needed; following up to ensure completion of the corrective action items.
- Researching quality issues.
- Aiding in internal and customer audits.
- Participating in Customer recalls and annual mock recalls as needed.
- Cooking Pest Control Program as needed.
- Ensuring all tool calibrations are current and documented.
- Aiding in department training.
- Assisting the Food Safety Coordinator with duties as requested.
- Verifying compliance with cGMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices) and SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures).
- Aiding in and/or conducting cGMP training, if requested.
- Ensuring the overall Safety and cleanliness of equipment and area.
- Working in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Performing overtime as required.
- Communicating Company policies, procedures, and customer requirements to other WRMD employees and participating in their development as needed.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, candidates should have:
- A high school diploma or GED.
- Previous quality auditing experience within a manufacturing environment.
- The ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- The ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- The ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
- The ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- The ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- The ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Proficient Microsoft Office computer skills.
