Quality Assurance Technician III

About the role

SAIC is looking for a Quality Assurance Technician to support quality assurance and engineering responsibilities associated with MK48 programs at the East gate facility in Bedford, IN. This is a full-time, day-shift position with up to 10% travel required. The role is on-site with no remote work option.

Responsibilities

• Support quality assurance and maintain quality evaluation and control systems and protocols for processing materials into partially finished or finished products.
• Collaborate with engineering, laboratory, and production functions to ensure quality standards are in place.
• Perform paint and other coating inspections at SAIC and supplier locations.
• Conduct pre-shipment inspections of completed systems prior to delivery.
• Assist in root cause analysis and troubleshooting of findings from quality inspections and manufacturing.
• Maintain documentation of quality inspections in accordance with SAIC procedures and customer requirements.
• Communicate discrepancies to vendors or coordinate with procurement regarding vendor performance.
• Perform internal audits as required in accordance with ISO 9001 requirements.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in a related discipline and 3+ years of related experience; or high school diploma and 5+ years of related experience.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to establish priorities and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project).
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Must be able to obtain a Full DOD Secret Security Clearance (no clearance required to start; SAIC will sponsor).
