About the role

The Quality Assurance Technician 3 at Hologic is responsible for performing quality assurance investigations, using sophisticated programs to collect and evaluate data, and assisting in the development of methods and procedures. This role requires a strong background in medical device quality assurance and experience in a certified medical device environment.

Responsibilities

  • Works closely with other engineering technicians and engineers to develop an expert level of understanding of our products to test, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair them.
  • Performs complex experiments that may require support and coordination with other technicians or engineers.
  • Responsible for initial diagnostic testing of issues that arise in the field. Works in conjunction with R&D, Ops and Service where appropriate.
  • Follows work instructions to assemble or disassemble products or replace components.
  • Creates detailed documentation. Translates reports from suppliers into complaint records. Creates comprehensive service and investigation notes.
  • Supports and adheres to the Quality Policy and Quality System procedures.
  • Establishes collaborative relationships with all stakeholders within the site.
  • Provides improvement ideas based on direct observations.
  • Mentors, trains, and assists with less senior staff.
  • Completes all training requirements in a timely manner and maintains accurate training records.

Qualifications

  • Preferred Minimum Non-Technical Degree: High School (H.S./GED) or Associate Degree
  • Experience: 2-4 Years
  • Experience: Experience working in a certified medical device environment is beneficial.
  • Experience: Experience with Agile or Oracle is beneficial.
  • Skills: Advanced knowledge of MS office, excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills, excellent organizational and time management skills, knowledge of ISO 13485 and 17025, working knowledge of manufacturing and quality methodologies such as Root Cause and Root Cause Failure Analysis, MDR, MDSAP, TQM, SPC, Six Sigma, ASQ Certification is beneficial.

Pay

The annualized base salary range for this role is $54,300- $80,000 and is bonus eligible. Final compensation packages will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience, skillset, knowledge, geography, education, business needs and market demand.

Schedule

Regular and punctual attendance is required. Ability to adhere to standardized schedule for position and ability to work overtime to support department needs as necessary.
