Quality Assurance Technician I

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine testing to ensure compliance with internal and external specifications and food safety programs.
• Communicate quality, safety, and security concerns promptly to co-workers and the Quality Assurance Manager.
• Calibrate and troubleshoot testing procedures, maintaining calibration logs.
• Perform monthly intra-lab check samples.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area, including assigned sanitation duties.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• An Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in cereal science, food science, chemistry, biology, biochemistry, analytical instrument, microbiology, or related field preferred.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, organize work, and communicate effectively with both internal and external customers.
• Knowledge of and proficiency in Microsoft Office, Internet, and Intranet, as well as other relevant computer software.
• Mathematical skills to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Reasoning ability to make quick decisions and adapt to changing work duties and events.
