About the role

OPW Propane Energy Solutions (PES) is a leading manufacturer of gas flow and control products. Our mission is to provide innovative solutions for the safe handling and distribution of alternative fuels, including LPG and NH3, and emerging alternatives like Bio LPG formulations and ammonia.

Responsibilities

• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
• Dimensional inspection of components using inspection tools and gauges
• Ensuring proper documentation is provided with shipments (material traceability reports, certificates of conformity, etc.)
• Transacting approved material and ensuring approved items are identified and staged in appropriate areas to be put away
• Equipment calibrations (calipers, torque wrenches, pressure gauges, etc.)
• In-process and final inspection of machined components and final assemblies. Recording inspections in the Assembly Inspection History Record using a tablet
• Notifying supervisors and Quality Engineers of any nonconforming products

Requirements

• High school graduate or GED required
• 4 year degree in Engineering, Science, Technology, or Manufacturing, preferred
• Strong computer literacy
• Strong communication skills and ability to interact with upper level management
• Strong understanding of engineering drawings/blueprints and dimensional tolerances
• Knowledge of standard inspection tools and gauges (calipers, micrometers, thread gauges, plug gauges, dial indicators, optical comparator, durometer)
