Quality Administrator
Job Summary
Reporting to the Sr. Quality Engineer, the Quality Administrator is primarily responsible for maintaining and improving the IATF 16949 Quality Documentation System.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the Master Document List.
- Organize Quality Documentation Directories and PLEX Document Control System.
- Oversee the Updating of Quality System Documents, including, but not limited to: Formatting and editing of documents (forms, work instructions, etc.).
- Facilitate the approval process for new documents and document changes.
- Create and distribute various Quality-related production signs.
- Act as the primary administrative contact for the Quality Department.
- Implement a system for Control of Records: Manage hardcopies and scanned records of production documents.
- Determine appropriate retention periods for documents and records.
- Supervise storage and disposal activities.
- Support the Quality Manager and lead IATF 16949 internal audits.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including:
- Managing Training Records and training documentation.
- Creating and maintaining Shipment Certifications.
- Assisting with Customer/Supplier Returns.
- Updating and maintaining Data Reports (Returns, Scrap, etc.).
- Participating in New Hire Orientation by providing an overview of the Quality Management System (QMS).
- Providing support for Plex.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent required.
- An associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school preferred; or 3 years’ experience in equivalent position.
- Working knowledge and understanding of Plex ERP system preferred.
- Knowledge and understanding of IATF 16949 preferred.
- Knowledge and understanding of Low Pressure Permanent and Semi-Permanent Aluminum Casting, X-ray, Heat Treatment, FPI, etc. a plus.
- Strong understanding and working knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to create and interpret graphs.
