About the role
This position is open to current Colorado residents only. The Wheat Ridge Regional Center provides comprehensive services and support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The work unit focuses on providing services and supporting an active learning approach, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for individuals supported. This work unit offers 24-hour treatment services compliant with State and Federal regulations.
Responsibilities
- Plan, develop, and coordinate comprehensive services provided to individuals with intellectual disabilities and safeguard and advocate for their rights, safety, and quality of life.
- Initiate changes and modify administrative functions, standards, budgetary requests, technical assistance standards, operating procedures, monitoring techniques, and evaluation studies.
- Supervise ICF-IID staff in two homes to ensure the implementation and documentation of individual programs.
- Lead the Interdisciplinary (ID) Team process to develop an Individual Program Plan (IPP) and monitor individuals' progress towards goals.
- Ensure regulatory compliance with State Board of Nursing Practice Acts, CDHS Policies and Procedures, and other state and federal mandates.
- Exercise appointing authority responsibilities, including hiring, performance planning, performance evaluation, corrective and disciplinary action, up to and including termination.
- Directly supervise 3 professionals and oversee the delivery of comprehensive services to individuals.
- Serve as the main contact for Auditors and Surveyors, and provide case management for up to 24 individuals.
Requirements
Special Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in the Human Services field, experience working with Individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, and previous supervisory experience.
Experience Only: Eight (8) years of relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned to this position.
Education And Experience: A combination of related education and/or relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned to this position equal to eight (8) years.
Qualifications
