QC Specialist - Federal Construction - Arlington, VA

About the role

The QC Specialist - Federal Construction - Arlington, VA will support the Quality Control Manager in executing the project-specific QC Plan across all phases of construction.

Responsibilities

• Support the Quality Control Manager in executing the project-specific QC Plan across all phases of construction
• Perform daily inspections of MEP work to ensure compliance with contract documents, codes, and federal standards
• Coordinate testing, commissioning, and third-party inspections for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
• Maintain detailed documentation including inspection reports, deficiencies, and corrective actions
• Participate in preparatory meetings, initial inspections, and follow-up phases of work (Three Phases of Control)
• Collaborate with project teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure quality standards are consistently met
• Assist in ensuring all systems meet performance requirements during commissioning and project closeout

Requirements

• 5+ years of construction quality control experience
• Experience with MEP systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing) strongly preferred
• Federal project experience is a plus, but not required
• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field preferred
• Must be a U.S. citizen
• Willingness to travel Monday-Friday to Charleston, SC (all expenses covered) until DC project mobilization
• Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills
