Description
The QC Specialist - Federal Construction - Arlington, VA will be responsible for:
- Support the Quality Control Manager in executing the project-specific QC Plan across all phases of construction
- Perform daily inspections of MEP work to ensure compliance with contract documents, codes, and federal standards
- Coordinate testing, commissioning, and third-party inspections for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
- Maintain detailed documentation including inspection reports, deficiencies, and corrective actions
- Participate in preparatory meetings, initial inspections, and follow-up phases of work (Three Phases of Control)
- Collaborate with project teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure quality standards are consistently met
- Assist in ensuring all systems meet performance requirements during commissioning and project closeout
Profile
A successful QC Specialist - Federal Construction - Arlington, VA should have:
- 5+ years of construction quality control experience
- Experience with MEP systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing) strongly preferred
- Federal project experience is a plus, but not required
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field preferred
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Willingness to travel Monday-Friday to Charleston, SC (all expenses covered) until DC project mobilization
- Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills
