About the role

This role is responsible for providing high-quality internal customer service by managing the shipping, receiving and inventory control of IT assets for our field associates. This position is based at our Headquarters in Fairfield, Ohio.

Responsibilities

  • Operate the Pitney Bowes shipping system and maintain accurate shipping records
  • Update address changes from PeopleSoft in the shipping system
  • Pack, ship and track IT assets going to field associates
  • Manage the equipment refresh schedule for field associates
  • Update Remedy cases with shipment status and tracking information
  • Maintain detailed shipping and inventory logs using Microsoft® Excel
  • Ensure timely return of equipment from terminated and active associates
  • Receive, inspect and record incoming assets in PeopleSoft Financials, Remedy Asset Manager and Remedy Service Requests
  • Reconcile UPS billing weekly and submit statements to Accounts Payable
  • Collaborate with service request analysts and PC technicians to ensure shipment accuracy and quality control
  • Process, clean, repackage and restock equipment for reuse
  • Support special shipping or inventory requests as needed
  • Conduct monthly inventory counts
  • Perform physical handling of IT equipment, including unboxing, stocking and stacking
  • Identify and support continuous process improvements within inventory operations
  • Collapse recycling efforts with recyclable packing materials
  • Collapse coordinate the delivery of donated materials to Crayons to Computers
  • Periodically able to safely move and handle multiple packages weighing up to 40 pounds

Requirements

  • Self-motivation and the ability to work independently
  • A strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and documentation
  • The ability to work across multiple systems in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
  • Proven customer service and interpersonal communication skills
  • The ability to collaborate effectively with multiple departments
  • Flexibility and responsiveness to timelines while adhering to business requirements
  • The capability to organize and maintain an efficient work area
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
