Purchasing Administrator (Conroe, TX)

Responsibilities

  • Procurement of requested materials and supplies to support internal project teams and office staff.
  • Oversee the procurement process by:
    • Tracking the status of purchased goods to destination and reporting delays;
    • Gathering delivery tickets and reconciling quantities and items received matches quantities and items ordered;
    • Contacting vendors when needed to check on the status of goods ordered or obtain proof of delivery;
    • Maintaining material inventory accuracy for new and completed projects.
  • Conduct activities in line with internal policies and procedures to comply with GAAP Accounting principles, and fraud prevention policies.
  • Provide timely and proper documentation to the accounting team to streamline the invoicing to customers and payments to vendors.

Requirements

  • Experience, Educational & Special Training:
    • A high school diploma as a minimum.
    • An associates degree or higher preferred.
    • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
    • Two (2) or more years of experience with purchasing/procurement and associated administrative tasks in the Industrial Instrumentation & Electrical Field.
    • Prior ERP experience.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook, MS Teams).

    • A detail-oriented, results-driven individual with a commitment to quality, accuracy, and the ability to organize and prioritize workloads to meet deadlines.
    • Strong analytical, problem solving, technical, and functional skills with the ability to multi-task and be willing to learn.
    • Flexible with working hours to meet required deadlines and demonstrate flexibility with managing multiple projects.

Qualifications

  • Must be fit for duty - including lifting unassisted of up to 50lbs.
  • Forklift certification is preferred.
