Pulmonary Care Nurse

Yellowstone River Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking a Nurse (LPN or RN) for our Pulmonary Improvement Program to join our Skilled Nursing Facility team. This position is 5 days a week with flexible hours and days.

Responsibilities

• Perform chest examinations
• Screen potential resident for Pulmonary Improvement Program; if appropriate, request order from provider for program
• Enter orders in PCC and initiate care plan
• Complete Initial Evaluations, Re-Evaluations, Discharges, and Daily Notes according to Medicare guidelines
• Document billing daily
• Consult with doctors and other healthcare staff to develop and modify patient treatment plans
• Provide detailed therapy, requiring significant independent judgment when caring for patients in intensive care
• Perform physical examination and diagnostic tests measuring lung capacity
• Treat patients using oxygen or oxygen mixtures, aerosol medications as needed, and chest physiotherapy
• Educate patients on how to use equipment and medication
• Regularly check on patients and equipment

Requirements

• Current Nursing License in the state of Montana (LPN or RN)
• Long-Term Care experience preferred but not required
• Current BLS for Healthcare Provider CPR or CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer certification
