About the role
The Solid Waste Management (SWM) program within the Department of Ecology is seeking a Publications and Hotline Database Coordinator (Communications Consultant 2) position. This role is based in our Headquarters Office in Lacey, WA.
Responsibilities
- Manage the 1-800-Recycle Hotline, database, and related outreach efforts.
- Keep Solid Waste Management Program webpages up to date as the primary Publications Coordinator.
- Engage in a variety of tasks to support the SWM program.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
- At least two years of relevant experience in communications or public relations.
- Experience managing databases and customer service.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of environmental issues and solid waste management.
- Ability to work flexible hours and remote work arrangements.
Skills
- Strong writing and editing skills.

Pay
$44,412.00 - $58,260.00 annually.
Schedule
Remote work initially, with a potential transition to a combination of in-office and/or telework based on business needs.
