Public Relations Account Executive

About the role

We are seeking a creative and results-oriented Account Executive to join our dynamic team at Matter. Our ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant business experience, 2-3 years of post-college PR agency experience, preferably with B2B tech clients, and a strong understanding of the media landscape.

Responsibilities

• Pursuing and securing a consistent stream of media opportunities for B2B and B2C clients
• Building and nurturing strong relationships with media contacts
• Drafting pitches, bylines, and other client deliverables that align with client messaging and drive results
• Generating creative ideas to support client PR/social media programs
• Mentoring and managing junior team members' involvement in projects and initiatives
• Assisting with new business opportunities, including research, creation of media playbooks, or SOV analyses

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant business experience
• 2-3 years of post-college PR agency experience, preferably with B2B tech clients
• A strong understanding of the media landscape and a passion for driving media relations results
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
• The ability to work in a fast-moving, dynamic, and team-oriented environment
• A fast learner with an inquisitive mind and eye for detail
• Adaptable, dependable, and a positive influence on the work environment

Pay

The salary range for this role is $60,000–$65,000, depending on experience.

Schedule

This role is hybrid, with in-office days scheduled on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.
