Public Areas Attendant - PM Shift

About the Role

Located on the shores of Lake Washington, Hyatt Regency Lake Washington at Seattle’s Southport perfectly combines the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest with modern amenities. This position is fast-paced with constant customer interaction and requires the ability to push and pull moderate weight while maintaining exceptional communication and guest service skills.

Responsibilities

• Acknowledges and greets guests in public spaces with a warm, friendly greeting
• Cleans common/public areas and assigned washrooms to specified standards using prescribed procedures, including wiping, dusting, sweeping, mopping, polishing, scrubbing, shampooing, and straightening
• Restocks and removes towels in the gym/pool areas
• Picks up ground litter around the hotel
• Assists the housekeeping department as needed with cleaning, laundry, and supplies
• Ensures the facility remains clean at all times, including back-of-house areas
• Responds to customers' queries, concerns, and complaints and delivers on guest requests
• Promptly turns in lost articles to management for entry into Lost and Found
• Performs any other related duties as required

Requirements

• Applicants must be eligible to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship
• Must have weekend and holiday availability
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure, while remaining flexible and efficient
• Ability to understand and provide friendly guest service
• Ability to understand and comply with proper cleaning techniques, procedures, and brand standards
• Ability to timely complete assigned tasks
• Attention to detail with good organizational and efficient time management skills
• Consistent professional attitude and behavior with effective listening and communication skills

Pay

The salary range for this position is $23.00 to $29.90 per hour, with a starting rate of $23.00. Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on experience, qualifications, and education. A $1.00 shift differential is provided for shifts starting at 2:00pm and ending at 10:00pm.
