PT Support Lead

About the Role

Under the leadership of the Store Manager/Leader and Customer Service Manager, the Support Lead assists with directing Front End Lead(s) (if applicable) and sales associates while serving as the Manager on Duty. This role is responsible for all key store functions, delivering exceptional customer service, managing front-end operations, cash handling, cleanliness, safety, and driving sales.

Responsibilities

• Ensures all associates and managers deliver exceptional customer service through personal interaction.
• Responsible for achieving CSAT (Customer Satisfaction) score goals provided by the District Manager.
• Leads front-end operations and trains staff on the High Fives of Customer Service.
• Ensures fast, friendly checkout experiences for all guests.
• Maintains store cleanliness, recovery, and readiness for customers at all times.
• Performs opening and closing store procedures.
• Assists with front-end operations and performs Store Manager duties in their absence.
• Supervises, trains, coaches, and develops all associates.
• Reviews and acts on all corporate communications.
• Partners with supervisors or corporate office to resolve store issues.
• Drives store sales and controls expenses, including assisting with payroll to ensure it stays within budget.
• Assists in merchandising procedures, including receiving, stocking, and staging merchandise.
• Unloads merchandise from trucks, checks in shipments, and packs out merchandise to the sales floor.
• Assists with front-end and queue merchandising.
• Drives key metrics: Sales, ADS (Average Dollar Sale), CSAT Scores, and Expense Control.
• Performs store maintenance, including taking out garbage, sweeping, cleaning bathrooms, and maintaining the stock room.
• Handles cash procedures, including preparing and dropping bank deposits.
• Authorizes register functions such as post voids, returns, and discounts.
• Complies with Human Resources policies and procedures.
• Frequently operates a cash register.
• Frequently moves merchandise weighing up to 25 lbs and places/removes merchandise up to a height of 5-10 feet.
• Frequently ascends/descends ladders to retrieve and put away stock.
• Frequently kneels, bends, twists, and stoops, including in the stock room and on the sales floor.
• Frequently communicates with customers, managers, and coworkers in person and over the telephone.
• Frequently moves across the sales floor and between the sales floor and stock room.
• Must be able to remain in a stationary, upright position for 80% of the time.
• Must be able to identify and follow email and print instructions regarding merchandise layouts, schedules, and standard operating procedures.

Requirements

• High School Graduate or equivalent; college experience preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of management experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and maintain composure under pressure.
• Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.

Starting at $11.50 per hour.
