We are searching for a part-time weekend Morning Bakery Team Member (12am-8am or 3am-11am) who is energetic, dedicated, and strives to provide excellent food items and service in an efficient, professional manner.

Responsibilities

  • Design, execute, and perform quality checks on ingredients and finished bakery products.
  • Use icing, glazes, fillings, and decorations to enhance item presentation.
  • Process orders from customers and ensure accuracy in every order.
  • Clean workstations and equipment to maintain a sanitary environment.
  • Ensure the bakery area is well-stocked and operating smoothly.
  • Deliver consistent and outstanding guest service by maintaining an appealing showcase with a variety of high-quality products.
  • Follow S.E.T. Principles: Smile, Eye Contact, Thank You.
  • Prepare and finish products to meet quality standards and support speed of service targets.
  • Promptly address guest concerns or complaints, taking responsibility for service recovery.
  • Follow all operational standards and guidelines for product preparation and equipment operation.
  • Monitor inventory of bakery products in the fridge and freezer, and prepare products as needed.
  • Prepare products in appropriate quantities to minimize waste and record prepared items and waste on the production sheet.
  • Respond to showcase and product needs communicated by the Restaurant Front.
  • Assist in serving guests in the Restaurant Front when necessary.
  • Regularly monitor and record temperatures of required products, fridges, and freezers.
  • Adhere to all restaurant policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen to ensure readiness for rush periods.
  • Work in compliance with occupational health and safety legislation.
  • Follow safe work practices and procedures, and use personal protective equipment as required.
  • Report any injuries, accidents, unsafe conditions, or contraventions of health and safety regulations.
  • Operate equipment and machinery safely to ensure the well-being of everyone.

  • Environment: Work is performed in a busy quick food service restaurant with frequent communication with customers and other employees. Employees must be able to prepare a variety of food and beverage items and work with or train other employees. Frequent interruptions, tasks, and position changes occur.
  • Physical: Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in a restaurant setting; to stand for prolonged periods; to stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight (5–50 lbs.); to operate a cash register and electronic devices requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination. Frequent exposure to cold/freezing temperatures (walk-in freezers/coolers) and high heat (ovens).
  • Vision: See in the normal visual range with or without correction.
  • Hearing: Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction. Ability to use and wear a headset to take and process customer orders.
  • Other: Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this job.
