PT: Brass Coordinator and Arranger

Job Summary

Reporting to the Director of Bands, this seasonal position oversees sectionals with the Marching Band Brass section and creates marching band arrangements for performances.

Essential Job Functions

• Create and teach musical arrangements for halftime shows and stands
• Provide strategies to increase students' technique ability on the brass instruments
• Develop and monitor sectional routines for brass students
• Aid with Marching Band Rehearsals, as needed
• All other related duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities

None

Minimum Job Qualifications

• Three years of College Music study; bachelor’s in music preferred
• Experience with Brass section, marching band arranging or equivalent training

Physical Demands

• Ability to sit or stand for up to 8 hours/day
• Some lifting (up to 25 pounds occasionally), bending, and carrying
