Job Summary
Reporting to the Director of Bands, this seasonal position oversees sectionals with the Marching Band Brass section and creates marching band arrangements for performances.
Essential Job Functions
- Create and teach musical arrangements for halftime shows and stands
- Provide strategies to increase students' technique ability on the brass instruments
- Develop and monitor sectional routines for brass students
- Aid with Marching Band Rehearsals, as needed
- All other related duties as assigned
Supervisory Responsibilities
None
Minimum Job Qualifications
- Three years of College Music study; bachelor’s in music preferred
- Experience with Brass section, marching band arranging or equivalent training

- Must have strong verbal and written communication and organizational skills

- Must be able to read, write and speak fluently in English
Physical Demands
- Ability to sit or stand for up to 8 hours/day
- Some lifting (up to 25 pounds occasionally), bending, and carrying
