About the Role
The Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry is seeking a dedicated and experienced Psychiatrist with expertise and interest in treating Fragile X patients. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive psychiatric care in the Fragile X Center, a world leading Fragile X clinic, to support expansion of our therapy services.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and assessments for inpatient admissions.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including medication management and psychotherapy.
- Provide crisis intervention and stabilization for acute psychiatric conditions.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychologists, social workers, nurses, and primary care providers.
- Participate in case conferences, team meetings, and family consultations.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records.
- Engage in continuous professional development and stay current with advancements in the field.
Qualifications
- M.D., D.O., or equivalent degree
- Current active medical license issued by the State of Ohio or eligible for license
- Appropriate medical credentialing through the Medical Staff Services offices
- Completion of all required pre-employment activities
- Associate Professor appointment or eligibility required
- Generally requires a minimum of five years of service at the Assistant Professor rank
- PREFERRED: Board certification
