Assistant Professor - Psychiatry

Responsibilities

• Direct service provision including consultation with the Department of Children's Services and community providers, psychological evaluation of children involved in the child welfare system (e.g., assessment of cognitive, adaptive, academic, and social-emotional functioning)
• Training and supervision of psychology doctoral interns and post-doctoral fellows
• Provision of evidence-based practices such as Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) if desired

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or PsyD.
• Experience in trauma-informed care is required, with additional experience with children involved in the child welfare system preferred.
• Experience and skill in psychological assessment and consultation required.
• Licensed or license-eligible in Tennessee as a Psychologist, Health Service Provider.
