Psychiatrist - Locum Tenens Coverage

About the Role

This inpatient psychiatric position requires a Board-Certified Psychiatrist to provide comprehensive mental health care for adult patients. The clinician will conduct psychiatric assessments, prescribe and manage medications, and lead treatment planning within interdisciplinary teams on units averaging 2-15 beds.

Responsibilities

• Deliver full-time inpatient psychiatric services during day shifts without call or weekend duties.
• Manage a caseload of adult patients, providing evaluations, medication management, and patient/family education.
• Collaborate with clinical teams to develop and implement treatment plans.
• Ensure adherence to clinical protocols and maintain documentation standards.

Requirements

• Board Certification in Psychiatry required.
• Prescriptive authority necessary.
• Experience with adult inpatient psychiatric conditions preferred.
• Ability to work independently within a team setting.

Schedule

Full-time schedule, 40 hours per week during day shifts. No call or weekend responsibilities.
