Psychiatrist - Locum Tenens Coverage

Role Overview

Provide inpatient and emergency department psychiatric services for adult patients in a behavioral health setting.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations
• Manage medications and deliver comprehensive psychiatric care
• Work with a multidisciplinary team comprising nurses, social workers, technicians, and a practice manager to ensure continuity of care
• Extend clinical duties to ED and telepsych work as needed
• Cover inpatient units and provide call support
• Handle psychiatric cases with an average census of 18 adults
• Maintain documentation and follow-up care
• Manage variable patient interactions and evaluation times

Qualifications & Skills

• Board-certified in psychiatry
• Prescriptive authority required
• Experience with adult inpatient psychiatric conditions and emergency psychiatric presentations
• Ability to work full-time, 10-hour day shifts, with call responsibilities
