Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner - Locum Tenens

About the Role

We are seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (NP) to provide care in an inpatient mental health facility. This part-time role focuses on managing a caseload of approximately 10 adult patients with complex conditions, including substance use disorders and severe depression. The position involves a hybrid work model with both on-site and remote responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychiatric care to adult patients with complex mental health conditions.
• Conduct comprehensive monthly in-person evaluations, including medication reviews and treatment plan assessments.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team to ensure continuity of care and optimal patient outcomes.
• Perform approximately 20 hours of work per month, including one on-site 8-hour day and remote follow-ups.

Requirements

• Prescriptive authority required.
• Experience with adult mental health populations, particularly substance use and depression.
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment (on-site and remote).
• Strong collaboration skills within a multidisciplinary team.

Additional Details

This role focuses on medication management and treatment continuity. Support staff includes nursing and administrative personnel. The position is part-time with no call responsibilities or board certification requirements.
